APC Digest English Language and Literature (In Question Answer Form) Textbook for Class 9

It goves us great pleasure in presenting APC Digest in English Language and Literaturefor students of Class IX. The book has been prepared as per the latest CBSE curriculum with the prescribed changes in the course structure.
Section A: Reading Skills contains 46 Unseen Passages (23 Factual and 23 Descriptive) for reading comprehension. The questions for these passages have been carefully chosen keeping the examination patern in mind. The answers are provided separately after the passages. Students are advised to attempt the questions first and then take help from the model answers provided to identify their weak areas and improve them.
Section B: Writing Skills with Grammar contains (i) Articles/Descriptive Paragraphs (person.place/event/diary entry); (ii) Short story writing based on a given outline or cue/s. Detailed guidelines have been provided at the start of each writing skill which will help students practise and easily answer the questions in the examination. This section also includes a large number of solved questions for each writing skill.
Section B also includes Grammar which comprises Tenses, Modals, Use of passive voice, Subject-verb concord, Reporting (Commands and Requests, Statements and Questions), Clauses (Noun clauses, Adverb clauses and Relative clauses), Determiners and Prepositions in detail. Exercises on Editing, Omission, Sentences Reordering and Sentence Transformation have also been included in this section.
Section C: Literature Textbook and Supplementary Reading Text contains chapter-wise summary in both English and Hindi. This section is a comprehensive question bank that includes questions from the textbook as well as additional extracts for comprehension, and short and long answer questions. Word meaning and word-notes are also given to understand the lessons thoroughly.
Section D: This section contains complete solutions of the Workbook-Words and Expressions.
